Imposter Syndrome and Self-Sabotage - The Emotions Diary #7
We all feel or have felt Imposter Syndrome. T.E.D. this week explained to me how I was feeding into mine.

Hey there all,
We all know that feeling of Imposter Syndrome. Who am I to do this? I’m going to get found out, etc.
What I’d not realised before, was how my own behaviours were contributing to these feelings, in particular, the moving target that is my morning routine.
But T.E.D. had a great answer to that…
it explained why I couldn’t get a morning routine going.
And it used a piece of psychology on me that changed my motivation.
Watch the video and I’ll explain. Or rather, T.E.D. will.
Forward this to anyone you’ve been having these conversations with in your world..
And if you’re new to the Emotions Diary, the instructions are down the bottom.
Let the Emotions Diary explain you, to you. Let’s get undividing…
Would you like to buy me a coffee?
Undividing is my gift to the world. The biggest way you can pay me, and everyone, is by putting things you learn here into action in yourself and in the world.
That said, I would also appreciate your financial support to keep it going. A paid subscription is like buying me a coffee a month. And you get four Undividing newsletters and four Emotions Diaries. It’s a deal, it’s a steal.
Or if you just want to help out with buying me a single coffee, that would be amazing too. I take mine black, no sugar.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE EMOTIONS DIARY
Whatever you can’t figure out in your life, you can figure it out in here. The Emotions Diary is the tool for undividing yourself - understanding why you do, think, and feel the things you do.
You’ll need:
A notebook
A pen
An open heart and mind
And the practice is this:
What - Write down what’s going on in your life that you want an answer to; a persistent feeling, a bad habit, not knowing why you did something, general confusion etc.
Ask - Let this formulate into a question. Sometimes the question itself suprises you, as in, oh yeah, that is what I want to ask. Also, you can go straight to the question if you have already know.
Wait - Relax. Let the universe do its work. Generally an answer starts coming within seconds for me.
Answer - Write down what it “says.” Don’t overthink, edit it, or interpret it while comes. Receive it like you’re taking dictation. Capture the tone.
And a final note is to dwell with the answer. Feel the layers of it land in you.
Hi Karl, I just joined the platform and Imposter syndrome was the very first thing I wrote about.
It's universal experience and definitely something I'd like to explore in the future. What's interesting to me is how some people, seem to not struggle with this issue whatsoever. I have scanned dozens of posts before coming across yours that appear to have 100% AI generated content, posing as genuine human beings with the intent of helping others. True imposters, with none of the symptoms of imposter syndrome.
Do you have any thoughts on why some of us struggle with this issue, and others don't?
