Let the Emotions Diary explain you, to you.
Hey there all,
A big part of undividing the world is undoing the divisions we feel in ourselves. And the Emotions Diary is an incredible tool for that.
Are you enjoying the Emotions Diary? Is it helping you make sense of the world and yourself? If so, consider taking out a paid subscription.
Last night we did the first live, and it was fantastic! 88 people turned up for it, another 3,000 have seen it since. Mind officially blown! I wasn’t sure what to expect, I didn’t know who would turn up, but we had a great chat about life, the universe and undividing everything.
Apologies to the West Coast of the US. I wrote the wrong time down in my posts. But there is another one next week Wednesday 21st May. And I’m adding another free one on the 4th June for the folks who missed last night’s.
I’m planning to make these a part of the paid tier from Wednesday 18th June, so come and check out the free ones and see if it’s something you’d like to do every week with me.
Wednesdays / 8-9 pm Berlin / 7-8pm UK / 2-3pm NYC / 11am -12 noon LA
Wednesday 21st May - AMA Emotions Diary
Wednesday 4th June - AMA Undividing (from Cagliari in Sardinia)
This week in The Emotions Diary I asked “Why do we make everything so much harder than it needs to be?” It was in reference to the idea that dogs me about suffering in order to receive. T.E.D. had a wonderful answer…
Maybe the universe likes us, and likes to see us do well.
So why not receive good things? No really, why not? It’s a muscle we can build.
This week I’m going to practice receiving. Watch the whole video to see what The Emotions Diary had to say…

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE EMOTIONS DIARY
Whatever you can’t figure out in your life, you can figure it out in here. The Emotions Diary is the tool for undividing yourself - understanding why you do, think, and feel the things you do.
You’ll need 4 things:
A notebook
A pen
An open heart
An open mind
And the practice is in 4 steps:
What - Write down what’s going on in your life that you want an answer to; a persistent feeling, a bad habit, not knowing why you did something, general confusion etc.
Ask - Let this formulate into a question. Sometimes the question itself surprises you, as in, oh yeah, that is what I want to ask. Also, you can go straight to the question if you already know what you want to ask.
Wait - Relax. Let the universe do its work. Generally an answer starts coming within seconds for me.
Answer - Write down what it “says.” Don’t overthink, edit it, or interpret it while comes. Receive it like you’re taking dictation. Capture the tone.
And a final note is to dwell with the answer. Feel the layers of it land in you.
Thank you for your video. I have been thinking a lot of the same kinds of things about pronoia and the skill of receiving. I sometimes find myself feeling bad for taking something that another person freely gives but then I think to myself how much joy I feel in giving to others and then I think “It’s not selfish to receive something for nothing, it’s more selfish to rob another person of the joy of giving.” It may sound crazy but I think that it is really true. People like to give when they give freely and willingly so who am I to judge myself unworthy? It helps me to feel better and less shame about receiving gifts or help or advice when I remember how much I love to help other people and be helpful in some small way.
Dear Karl, that was a very great talk about receiving instead of working hard for something while suffering. I’m more the sufferer and it helped opening my mind ❤️ thanks for that. Coffee for you is waiting 😊
