Thank you for your video. I have been thinking a lot of the same kinds of things about pronoia and the skill of receiving. I sometimes find myself feeling bad for taking something that another person freely gives but then I think to myself how much joy I feel in giving to others and then I think “It’s not selfish to receive something for nothing, it’s more selfish to rob another person of the joy of giving.” It may sound crazy but I think that it is really true. People like to give when they give freely and willingly so who am I to judge myself unworthy? It helps me to feel better and less shame about receiving gifts or help or advice when I remember how much I love to help other people and be helpful in some small way.

Hi April, I like how you phrased that of robbing people of the joy of giving. It's a big lesson I had to learn about letting other people help. Like you, I felt I couldn't ask or receive in return - some combo of shame, pride, and thinking I'd be a bother. A friend once was so angry with me during my divorce because I didn't call him during a really low patch. He said he couldn't believe I wouldn't reach out and let him do the honour of being a friend. It really changed how I thought about friendship and help in that moment.

Dear Karl, that was a very great talk about receiving instead of working hard for something while suffering. I’m more the sufferer and it helped opening my mind ❤️ thanks for that. Coffee for you is waiting 😊

Thanks for the video. I’ve been struggling for a while waiting for some news regarding some financing - and still - but then after debating myself what should I do more, I just needed to let it go and trust the process and enjoy the journey while I can still continue on all the next steps as if I already had the approval. That keeps me focused on what I do really want, my goal, to have my own company.

Thank you a lot. Love your video.

You're welcome Julio. Yeah, it's hard to sit still and let it happen. But Stu's chat helped me realize that things are happening even if we can't see them, and that they come to us when we're ready. Forcing it never helps. Still, it's hard in our hustle culture to konw that waiting with intent is doing something. Good luck with the company mate, I really hope that comes together for you like you're wanting.
